There's not much recorded history to speak of for Central Florida until the Treaty of Moultrie Creek at the time of the second Seminole Indian War. And it wasn't until the Third Seminole War (1850's) that Army started building forts in the area as part of the campaign against the Seminole Indians - about 150 years ago .
The real boom to Orlando came when Walt Disney brought the Magic Kingdom in 1968 and transformed Central Florida forvever.
